i am trying to find out which restaurant is better in LA (i am from SF) Osteria La Buca or Piccolo Ristorante. this is for a surprise bday for 12-14pp. many are foodies, and for some $$ is an issue.
any suggestions and help would be great!

If money isn't an issue, make a reservation at Bridge. Great, fabulous Italian food. Another option is Osteria Angelini, which probably has some of the best Italian cuisine in all of LA, but it might be a tight squeeze for a party of 12-14. Call and inquire: (323) 297-0070.
