I always drove by RTH and it always looked dead. I don't recall ever seeing more than 7 people in this place. Of course this should have been a sign....but I just had to try RTH out.
They serve your typically small Chinese/Taiwanese dishes that are just "ok". I don't think the price justifies the quality of food. Other places in San Gabriel have much larger crowds for better quality food.
They must be doing fairly well since they've been in this location for quite a few years.
I suggest you go elsewhere and let the RTH be a last resort.
Friend told me his mother knows the owner who used to sell these stuff on the menu at her house, later opened this place up, I think overall it is again just soso, nothing stood out.

I came here after hearing my sis rave about it. She told me that the owner makes all the food herself. The food is pretty good. I got the pumpkin rice noodle, which was not on the menu but on the special menu board. It was the best pumpkin rice noodle I have ever had!!!! There were a lot of shredded pumkin so not a lot of salt was needed to season the dish (healthy). It was also very light, very little oil. My friend got the chicken teriyaki. You must be thinking, teriyaki? at a taiwanese joint? Well....it was actually pretty good. The chicken was not drowning in slimy teriyaki sauce and only a hint of sweetness. That dish came with gound pork over rice and vegetable. We also ordered taro cake. It is different from the taro cake you get at dim sum places. This taro cake was chewy sorta like mochi. Really good! It also doesn't seem to get too crowded which is good!

I think this place used to be the green burrito. But now its turned into this tiny little place that serves what I believe to be Taiwanese dishes. I didn't know what to expect when I decided to try this place out. From the outside, it looks a little too colorful, a little mysterious as to how the food might taste. Nevertheless, it turned out to be pretty good. There aren't too many people working there so they might be a little slow sometimes. Their to-go menu has pretty good deals and you can add a milk tea, coffee, tea, etc drink to it for only $1.50. I tried the spicy chicken noodles and that was pretty good. I also tried the fried pork chop dish, it came with some scrambled eggs, some veggies, and rice. They have pictures up so you can see what you are ordering. I'd come here again. They also had various curry dishes, beef stew, chicken, noodles, etc.
