This place is a fantastic deal (3 choice meal for way cheaper than other places) and is always fresh with good service. I miss it now that I am in nor cal :(

This is a small, quaint place set inside the corner of a strip mall. My first attempt was over the summer when it was closed. The sign read it would re-open under new management. I went again when it finally opened. I only ate the sushi and nabeyaki udon there and it was decent. The menu is simple, quality is definitely better than Kishi and Kinya. Its a good place to go for basic items.  The manager approached us and made sure everything was o.k. He seemed excited to see customers requesting more traditional food. This place is definitely a casual spot...don't expect anything fancy here.

I didn't expect much from this place.  It's in a strip mall and isn't too fancy looking.  But once walking in I knew that this place would be good.  The chefs and staff loudly greeted us from the other corner of the restaurant and were very friendly.
The selection on the menu was different than other Japanese restaurants I have been to but it was for the better.  I considered the range of choices pretty good and my buddies love the sushi menu.
I ordered some Katsu Don and I was BLOWN AWAY.  I'll admit I was pretty hungry but the katsu don hit the spot and left me in a haze of satisfaction.
Overall, I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone who wants good quality Japanese food.  Nothing too fancy or special, just good solid Japanese food.
P.S.- This place is WAYYYY better than Sushi Cruise which is right next door.  Sushi Cruise gets much more business but I think that's because the building is shaped like a giant boat...  Don't go in the silly boat.  Go to Nogi.
